Trek China Racing (TCR)
Hi Everyone,
As I'm sure you have noticed we are now in the middle of winter (-3 yesterday). That said, it doesn't mean that the local teams aren't training and getting structured for the upcoming racing season. We have been prepared to watch this space:
http://cyclosportschina.com/?page_id=6
JP has let me know that this is the best spot for updates on Team TCR. There are already some cool pictures up, and some familiar faces.
All we need now is an update from "the competition"!
Coming soon, we will start offering "Reviews from the Rollers" - movie reviews as we ride. . . stay tuned!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Currently in Munich Germany!!! All the best to China!
As they say, while in Munich. . . . . . . RACE A 6 DAY TRACK CARNIVAL!

Euro 6 day races are one of the most interesting and exciting formats of racing there is. With a variety of entertainment ranging from fine dining (or a bratwurst), live music, beer, disco (not to mention bike racing), 6 day racing is excellent fun if not a complete circus. Have a look at this link for a brief but interesting introduction to the world of 6 day track racing:

Munich is an amazingly historic and beautiful city - certainly worth a trip. Keep your eyes peeled for photos to come. . . . . . .

As Per previous posts, I feel it is my duty to not only assist in your race form, but also to BUILD IT! through the winter.
As most of you should know, Jacob Johansen is one of the most dedicated cycling enthusiasts in Shanghai. How do we measure "dedicated" you may ask?
1. He provides his class on his own time FOR NO CHARGE! "for the love"
2. He is seeking to expand and improve his class to help develop MORE cyclists BETTER
3. Jacob has probably ridden more Km's on a spin bike in the last week then you do on your road or mountain bike (yelling at people at the same time!)
4. He has made it as a feature on THIS blog, which officially qualifies him as "KORE"
5. He is a previous cycling hardman with extensive european racing experience (see footage on his website below)
6. Check out his class! And IF you make it through we'll chat. . . .
In the near future Jacob will be launching a website and more specific training options for cyclists in Shanghai. Have a look at
http://spinningchina.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?sa=149497229
We here are ShanghaiVelo will be right there with Jacob to promote and assist!

TOUR OF SOUTH CHINA SEA stage 6

Sergey Kudentsov showed he was the strongest again today winning the winning the circuit race at Zhongshan in a time of 2:39:35 (41.73km/h). It really is nice to see someone winning races in high black socks. I understand the cycling fraternity has never really bought into the idea (look how rarily George Hincapie wins), but really, I reckon its a good look. . . . . .
