Are you a cyclist in China? If you are, I would like you to stop for a moment and step back. You are doing long term damage to your body here - simple and clean.
Please consider figure A below.

This is not just a photo to show off how strong and toned my legs are getting (please no fan mail). On Saturday I went for a bike ride - I rode about 90k's. The weather was strikingly clear. There was nary a cloud in the sky. In fact, I leave the house so early in the morning now, that there is barely any traffic. This is a huge feat in one of China's largest cities.
This photo is to show you how polluted the air is here on even the most clear 'high visibility days'. Please not the amount of 'particulate matter' around the upper shin and knee area.
Please note exhibit B.

Note sock line. . . and please note exhibit C

. . . . . . . . I was riding in a totally secluded tree area. There was no car traffic, no people, no nothing. Now imagine if I was riding in an urban area . . .

Nice to see you back online. Chia
